With southern exposure, in the foothills of the Alps, the wine-producing district of Ollon, located entirely on hillsides, enjoys a warm dry climate, influenced by the "foehn" (a warm dry strong wind).
The soil, very rocky and not very deep, is characterised by a high gypsum content. There are five distinctive production zones located in Antagnes, La Roche, Sus-Village, Verschiez and St. Triphon. The wine-growing district of the Association consists of 37 hectares of Chasselas, 0.5 hectare of white specialty grapes, 4.75 hectares of Pinot Noir, 4.75 hectares of Gamay and one hectare of red specialty grapes.
Guided tours of the cellars can be arranged by reservation with the Association Viticole d'Ollon (Wine Growers Association of Ollon), 48 hours in advance.
