This venerable building, now saved from demolition, traces its origins to the Middle Ages.
The first known reference
to the castle dates from 1386, but dendrochronological
analyses of the oldest beam systems in the basement show that they date from
around 1200.
The territory of Ollon was at this period under the various jurisdictions of the Abbey of
Saint-Maurice, the House of Savoy and the Bishopric of Sion.
